About

We make packs the way we make records.

Monologue Audio is a small production collective. Everything in the catalog started life inside a real session — not a sample-generation pipeline — and gets mixed, gain-staged and named before it ships.

Why the catalog is small

A release only ships once it has survived being used in a real mix, by someone who wasn’t the person who made it. That gate is why there are dozens of releases rather than hundreds, and why the ones that exist tend to get used rather than auditioned once.

Everything is finished

One-shots are trimmed and levelled. Loops are keyed and tempo-tagged. Presets are mixed against a full arrangement, not soloed. The point is that the first thing you do with a pack is write, not sort.

Updates are included, permanently

When a release gets a new version — extra material, cleaner renders, an added format — everyone who already owns it gets it at no extra cost, and can still download the exact version they originally paid for.

How the licensing works

Two tiers, deliberately. Personal covers your own non-commercial work; Commercial clears releases, client work and monetised content. What is never permitted, under either, is reselling the sounds themselves.

The gear in the room

Most of what ends up in a pack passed through one of these on the way. Nothing is modelled or re-amped in a plugin afterwards — if a patch sounds like a particular filter, it is because it went through that filter.
